Overview
The Lake Catholic Mathematics Department offers our students a challenging curriculum throughout their four years of high school. The state of Ohio requires all students to take four years of math, and at a minimum complete Algebra 2 by the end of their senior year. At Lake Catholic, students are given the option to take college-ready courses or advanced courses. Students meeting our requirements are allowed to take courses that not only prepare them for college, but also give them college credit.
Tutoring Opportunities
The Mathematics Department provides tutoring services for students in the St. Thomas Aquinas Learning Center.

Mrs. Grai has a background in engineering, having worked for a large chemical company in Massachusetts and Michigan. After taking time off to raise her family, she returned to school to obtain her teaching license. She is both a teacher and a former parent at Lake Catholic. Both of her sons, Brian (’17) and Ben (’20) graduated from Lake Catholic. She sees what an impact Lake Catholic had on her own children, and she wants the same for her students. She likes to spend time hiking, doing long boring math problems and spending time with family and friends.

Vince’s teaching career began in North Carolina before making his way back to Lake County. After a handful of years between North and Riverside, he became a member of the Lake Catholic family. His wife, Haley (Class of 2007), praised Lake Catholic for everything it offered while she was a student here. Math was his favorite subject in high school and he has always had a passion for it. He is a father of two young boys and enjoys hitting the links in his free time. He has also coached boys' basketball at the high school level since 2013.
